KARAWANG, AlexaPodcast.ID – Kecelakaan lalu lintas terjadi di Jalan Raya Syech Quro, Desa/Kelurahan Palumbonsari, Kecamatan Karawang Timur, Kabupaten Karawang, Selasa (30/9/2025) sekitar pukul 05.50 WIB.
Peristiwa nahas itu melibatkan sepeda motor Honda Beat bernomor polisi T-5502-LU dengan minibus Nissan Grand Livina B-1164-PYE.
Jajaran Satlantas Polres Karawang yang mendapat laporan segera mendatangi lokasi untuk melakukan olah TKP dan mengevakuasi korban.
Sementara itu, kedua kendaraan yang terlibat kecelakaan telah diamankan untuk kepentingan penyelidikan lebih lanjut.
Kapolres Karawang AKBP Fiki N. Ardiansyah melalui Kasi Humas Polres Karawang Ipda Cep Wildan menyampaikan, kecelakaan mengakibatkan satu orang meninggal dunia dan satu orang mengalami luka berat.
“Korban meninggal dunia merupakan pengendara sepeda motor berinisial MK (25), sementara pemboncengnya seorang perempuan berinisial SEF (24) mengalami luka berat dan langsung dibawa ke RS Lira Medika Karawang,” terang Ipda Cep Wildan.
Berdasarkan hasil olah TKP dan keterangan saksi, kecelakaan diduga dipicu kurangnya konsentrasi pengendara sepeda motor saat berusaha mendahului kendaraan lain hingga berserempetan dengan minibus yang dikemudikan ET (62), warga Karawang Timur.
Benturan keras membuat sepeda motor terjatuh dan pengendara tertabrak minibus hingga meninggal dunia di lokasi kejadian.
Satlantas Polres Karawang segera melakukan langkah-langkah penanganan di antaranya mendatangi TKP, mengevakuasi korban ke rumah sakit, mengamankan barang bukti kendaraan, serta meminta keterangan saksi-saksi.
Kapolres Karawang AKBP Fiki N. Ardiansyah mengimbau masyarakat agar selalu mengutamakan keselamatan dalam berkendara.
“Kami mengingatkan agar pengendara selalu berhati-hati, mematuhi aturan lalu lintas, dan melengkapi diri dengan perlengkapan keselamatan seperti helm, agar risiko fatalitas dapat diminimalisir,” tegas Kapolres. (Lan)
