KARAWANG, AlexaPodcast.ID – Seorang pria berinisial MD (52) ditemukan meninggal dunia di kediamannya di Perumahan Fatma Residence, Desa Lemahmulya, Kecamatan Majalaya, Kabupaten Karawang, Rabu (4/3/2026) sekitar pukul 18.00 WIB.

‎Informasi yang dihimpun, penemuan tersebut bermula dari kecurigaan warga sekitar yang mencium aroma tidak sedap dari dalam rumah korban dalam beberapa hari terakhir.
‎
‎Kapolres Karawang, Fiki N. Ardiansyah, melalui Kasi Humas Cep Wildan, membenarkan adanya peristiwa tersebut.
‎
‎“Beberapa hari terakhir, tetangga korban mencium aroma tidak sedap seperti bau menyengat di sekitar rumah korban. Kemudian, tetangga melaporkan kepada pengurus perumahan,” ujar Ipda Cep Wildan.
‎
‎Setelah dilakukan pengecekan, lanjutnya, korban sudah tidak bernyawa dan tergeletak di dalam kamar.
‎
‎Mendapat laporan tersebut, petugas dari Polsek Majalaya bersama Tim Inafis Polres Karawang langsung mendatangi lokasi untuk melakukan olah tempat kejadian perkara (TKP).
‎
‎Diketahui, korban berinisial MD berusia 52 tahun dan berprofesi sebagai buruh harian lepas. Berdasarkan keterangan sementara, korban diketahui memiliki riwayat sakit menahun.
‎
‎“Jenazah telah dibawa ke rumah sakit untuk pemeriksaan lebih lanjut. Kami masih melakukan penyelidikan guna memastikan penyebab pasti kematian korban,” tambahnya.
‎
‎Pihak kepolisian juga mengimbau masyarakat agar lebih peduli terhadap kondisi keluarga dan lingkungan sekitar guna mencegah kejadian serupa terulang kembali.
