KARAWANG – Sebuah toko grosir makanan ringan (snack) di Jalan Raya Proklamasi, Kecamatan Rengasdengklok, Kabupaten Karawang, terbakar pada Senin (10/8/2026) sekitar pukul 19.30 WIB.

Peristiwa tersebut sempat membuat pemilik toko dan pedagang di sekitar lokasi panik. Warga yang melihat kobaran api langsung berupaya membantu memadamkan api sambil menunggu petugas pemadam kebakaran tiba.

Petugas pemadam kebakaran yang datang ke lokasi kemudian melakukan proses pemadaman untuk mengendalikan kobaran api. Api diketahui pertama kali muncul dari bagian belakang toko yang digunakan sebagai kamar mandi.

Kobaran api dengan cepat membesar lantaran di dalam toko terdapat berbagai material yang mudah terbakar, seperti kardus dan plastik kemasan makanan ringan.

Petugas pun bergerak cepat untuk mencegah api merambat ke bangunan lain yang berada di sekitar lokasi kejadian.

“Dugaan sementara penyebab kebakaran adalah arus pendek listrik yang berada di bagian atap kamar mandi,” ujar Sayen, petugas pemadam kebakaran di lokasi.

Beruntung, dalam kejadian tersebut tidak ada laporan korban jiwa. Namun, kebakaran mengakibatkan bagian toko terdampak dan menimbulkan kerugian materi.

Hingga Senin malam, petugas masih melakukan proses pendinginan untuk memastikan tidak ada lagi titik api yang berpotensi memicu kebakaran kembali.

Penyebab pasti kebakaran dan total kerugian yang dialami pemilik toko masih dalam proses pendataan serta penyelidikan lebih lanjut oleh pihak terkait.
