KARAWANG, AlexaPodcast.ID – Nasib naas menimpa seorang pencari besi bekas bongkaran bangunan liar di sepanjang Kali Apor.
Pria tersebut tewas setelah tertimpa mata gerinda saat sedang memotong besi sisa pembongkaran bangunan. pada Selasa (10/2/2026).
Korban diketahui berinisial P (55), warga Desa Medangasem, Kecamatan Jayakerta, Kabupaten Karawang. Peristiwa tragis itu terjadi di Dusun Pacing Utara, Desa Dewisari, Kecamatan Rengasdengklok.
Berdasarkan keterangan saksi di lokasi, korban saat itu tengah memotong besi sisa bongkaran jembatan menggunakan mesin gerinda.
Namun nahas, mata gerinda tiba-tiba terlepas dan mengenai bagian leher korban.
Akibat luka yang cukup parah, korban sempat dilarikan ke rumah sakit terdekat untuk mendapatkan pertolongan medis. Namun nyawanya tidak dapat diselamatkan dan dinyatakan meninggal dunia.
Agus, selaku RW Desa Dewisari yang berada di lokasi kejadian, membenarkan Korban meninggal dunia saat sedang memotong besi sisa bongkaran jembatan.
”Mata gerinda copot dan terpental lalu mengenai leher korban. Korban langsung dilarikan ke rumah sakit, namun akhirnya meninggal dunia,” ungkap Agus.
Hingga berita ini diturunkan, pihak terkait masih melakukan pendataan serta penanganan lanjutan atas peristiwa kecelakaan kerja tersebut.
