KARAWANG, AlexaPodcast.ID – Upaya pencarian terhadap korban tenggelam di Sungai Citarum akhirnya membuahkan hasil. Pada hari ketiga pelaksanaan operasi SAR, Minggu (9/11/2025), tim SAR gabungan berhasil menemukan korban bernama Mahmudin (37), warga Dusun Sukamaju, Desa Telukjambe, Kecamatan Telukjambe Timur, Kabupaten Karawang.
Kapolres Karawang AKBP Fiki N. Ardiansyah melalui Kasi Humas IPDA Cep Wildan menjelaskan, kegiatan pencarian dilakukan sejak pagi hari di bawah jembatan Perumahan Podomoro Land, Desa Wadas, Kecamatan Telukjambe Barat.
Operasi ini melibatkan berbagai unsur gabungan, di antaranya Satpolairud Polres Karawang, BKO Ditpolairud Polda Jabar, Basarnas Unit Karawang, BPBD Kabupaten Karawang, Koramil Telukjambe, Unit Inafis Satreskrim Polres Karawang, serta sejumlah relawan dari MTA Karawang, Karawang Peduli, dan Ambulans Relawan.
“Korban atas nama Mahmudin berhasil ditemukan pada pukul 08.15 WIB dalam kondisi meninggal dunia. Saat ditemukan, posisi korban tertelungkup dan tersangkut pada tumpukan eceng gondok di Sungai Citarum,” ujar IPDA Cep Wildan.
Proses evakuasi berjalan lancar. Korban berhasil diangkat dari sungai sekitar pukul 08.45 WIB dan langsung dibawa oleh Unit Inafis Polres Karawang ke RSUD Karawang untuk pemeriksaan lebih lanjut.
Berdasarkan hasil pencarian, titik penemuan korban berjarak sekitar 9 kilometer dari lokasi awal tempat korban dilaporkan tenggelam.
Usai proses evakuasi, seluruh unsur yang terlibat melaksanakan apel konsolidasi dan penutupan kegiatan SAR pada pukul 09.13 WIB.
