KARAWANG, AlexaPodcast.ID – Aksi pencurian kendaraan bermotor (curanmor) di Jalan Raya Kutamakmur–Srikamulyan, Desa Kutamakmur, Kecamatan Tirtajaya, Karawang, berhasil digagalkan warga, Minggu (14/9/2025) sekitar pukul 14.45 WIB.
Seorang remaja berinisial S (17) yang diduga sebagai pelaku ditangkap setelah kedapatan membawa sepeda motor hasil curian.
Pelaku sempat mencoba melarikan diri, namun berhasil ditangkap massa dan nyaris menjadi bulan-bulanan sebelum akhirnya diamankan oleh aparat kepolisian dari Polsek Tirtajaya.
Kapolres Karawang AKBP Fiki N. Ardiansyah melalui Kasi Humas Polres Karawang Ipda Cep Wildan menjelaskan bahwa peristiwa tersebut bermula saat warga memergoki pelaku sedang melakukan pencurian sepeda motor.
“Pelaku kemudian berhasil ditangkap oleh masyarakat dan diamankan di kantor Desa Kutamakmur sebelum diserahkan kepada pihak Kepolisian,” jelas Ipda Cep Wildan.
Anggota Polsek Tirtajaya yang menerima laporan masyarakat langsung mendatangi lokasi, mengamankan pelaku berikut barang bukti, lalu membawanya ke Polsek untuk pemeriksaan lebih lanjut.
Dari hasil pemeriksaan awal, pelaku diketahui beraksi seorang diri menggunakan kunci T yang telah disiapkan.
Namun, kendaraan yang menjadi barang bukti tidak dilengkapi dokumen resmi seperti STNK maupun BPKB sehingga diduga merupakan kendaraan bodong.
Polisi masih melakukan pengembangan kasus untuk mengungkap kemungkinan adanya jaringan curanmor di wilayah tersebut.
Polsek Tirtajaya telah memeriksa saksi, melakukan interogasi terhadap pelaku, serta berkoordinasi dengan Polsek lain terkait kemungkinan keterlibatan pelaku dalam kasus serupa.
”Kami juga mengapresiasi peran aktif masyarakat yang cepat tanggap melaporkan kejadian ini sehingga pelaku dapat segera diamankan,” pungkas Ipda Cep Wildan. (*Lan)
