KARAWANG, AlexaPodcast.ID – Jajaran Polres Karawang melalui Polsek Rengasdengklok dan Unit Gakkum Satlantas bergerak cepat menangani kecelakaan lalu lintas yang terjadi di wilayah Kecamatan Rengasdengklok, Kabupaten Karawang, Sabtu pagi (31/1/2026).
Kecelakaan tersebut terjadi sekitar pukul 07.30 WIB di depan Kantor Desa Kertasari, Desa Kertasari, Kecamatan Rengasdengklok.
Peristiwa itu melibatkan sebuah mobil Honda Brio bernomor polisi T 1190 HW dengan sepeda motor Honda Vario bernomor polisi T 4108 RH.
Kapolres Karawang AKBP Fiki N. Ardiansyah melalui Kasi Humas Polres Karawang, IPDA Cep Wildan, mengatakan, petugas langsung turun ke lokasi setelah menerima laporan dari masyarakat.
“Setelah menerima laporan, piket patroli Polsek Rengasdengklok langsung mendatangi lokasi kejadian dan melakukan penanganan awal, termasuk memberikan pertolongan pertama kepada korban serta mengevakuasi korban ke RS Proklamasi Rengasdengklok,” ujar Cep Wildan, Sabtu (31/1/2026).
Korban pengendara sepeda motor diketahui berinisial M (35), perempuan, warga Desa Rengasdengklok Utara. Sementara pengemudi mobil Honda Brio berinisial H (45), laki-laki, yang merupakan anggota Polri, warga Kecamatan Kutawaluya, Kabupaten Karawang.
Berdasarkan keterangan saksi dan hasil pemeriksaan awal di lokasi kejadian, kecelakaan bermula saat mobil Honda Brio menabrak sepeda motor di depan SMPN 1 Rengasdengklok. Usai kejadian, pengemudi mobil diteriaki warga dan diduga dalam kondisi panik.
Dalam situasi tersebut, pengemudi Honda Brio diduga berusaha mencari bantuan. Namun, saat melintas di depan Desa Kertasari, kendaraan yang dikemudikannya justru terperosok ke Kali Apor yang berada di sekitar lokasi.
Petugas piket patroli Polsek Rengasdengklok kemudian mengamankan pengemudi mobil untuk menjalani pemeriksaan lebih lanjut.
Polisi juga mengamankan barang bukti berupa satu unit mobil Honda Brio dan satu unit sepeda motor Honda Vario.
“Saksi di lokasi kejadian masing-masing bernama Alex dan Jaenudin. Kepolisian telah melakukan tindakan kepolisian berupa mendatangi TKP, memberikan pertolongan pertama kepada korban, serta mengamankan barang bukti. Kasus ini selanjutnya ditangani sesuai dengan prosedur hukum yang berlaku,” tutup Cep Wildan.
Hingga saat ini, Unit Gakkum Satlantas Polres Karawang masih melakukan penyelidikan lebih lanjut guna memastikan penyebab pasti kecelakaan tersebut.
