KARAWANG, AlexaPodcast.ID – Kepolisian Resor Karawang melalui Polsek Kotabaru yang dipimpin IPTU Suherlan, berhasil mengamankan seorang pelaku tindak pidana pencurian sepeda motor (curanmor) di wilayah hukum Polsek Kotabaru.
Pelaku berinisial PS (26), seorang buruh harian lepas warga Dusun Gandoang, Desa Pangulah Selatan, Kecamatan Kotabaru, ditangkap pada Jumat (5/9/2025) setelah diduga mencuri sepeda motor milik warga setempat.
Kasi Humas Polres Karawang, Ipda Cep Wildan, mengatakan pelaku diketahui melakukan aksinya seorang diri sekitar pukul 17.15 WIB dengan memanfaatkan kelalaian korban yang meninggalkan kunci motor tergantung.
“Setelah korban melaporkan kejadian dan melengkapi bukti kepemilikan, Unit Reskrim Polsek Kotabaru bersama korban dan saksi bergerak cepat dan berhasil mengamankan pelaku beserta barang bukti sepeda motor Honda Sonic milik korban,” ungkap Ipda Cep Wildan.
Saat ini pelaku dan barang bukti telah diamankan di Mako Polsek Kotabaru.
Polisi juga telah memeriksa pelaku, memintai keterangan saksi, melakukan olah TKP, serta berkoordinasi dengan Jaksa Penuntut Umum untuk proses hukum lebih lanjut.
Kapolres Karawang, AKBP Fiki N. Ardiansyah, menegaskan komitmen Polres Karawang untuk terus meningkatkan upaya pencegahan dan penindakan tindak pidana pencurian kendaraan bermotor.
“Tidak ada tempat bagi pelaku curanmor di Kabupaten Karawang,” tegas AKBP Fiki.
Kapolres Karawang, mengimbau masyarakat agar selalu waspada dan tidak meninggalkan kunci pada kendaraan saat diparkir.
”Sinergi antara masyarakat dan kepolisian menjadi kunci terciptanya situasi kamtibmas yang aman dan kondusif,” pungkasnya. (Lan)
