KARAWANG – Antusiasme warga dalam pemilihan anggota Badan Permusyawaratan Desa (BPD) Desa Kalangsurya, Kecamatan Rengasdengklok, Kabupaten Karawang, membludak pada hari terakhir masa pendaftaran calon, Rabu (8/7/2026).
Sejak pagi hingga menjelang penutupan, panitia terus menerima kedatangan warga yang menyerahkan berkas pencalonan.
Tingginya minat masyarakat menunjukkan besarnya semangat untuk terlibat langsung dalam pembangunan serta pengawasan jalannya pemerintahan desa.
Ketua Panitia Pemilihan BPD Desa Kalangsurya, Dicki Wahyudi, mengungkapkan hingga penutupan pendaftaran tercatat sebanyak 14 orang telah resmi mendaftarkan diri sebagai calon anggota BPD.
“Dari total pendaftar, terdapat 8 laki-laki dan 6 perempuan. Di hari terakhir ini pendaftar mulai membeludak. Masih banyak warga yang datang menyerahkan berkas sebelum waktu pendaftaran ditutup,” ujar Dicki.
Menurutnya, pelaksanaan pemilihan anggota BPD secara langsung di Desa Kalangsurya menjadi salah satu langkah baru yang diharapkan mampu meningkatkan partisipasi masyarakat dalam proses demokrasi di tingkat desa.
Terkait kebutuhan anggaran pelaksanaan pemilihan, Dicki menjelaskan hingga saat ini nominalnya masih belum ditetapkan.
Pembahasan akan dilakukan melalui musyawarah bersama panitia dan pemerintah desa untuk menyesuaikan kebutuhan teknis di lapangan.
“Rancangan anggaran nantinya akan dimusyawarahkan kembali bersama panitia dan kepala desa terkait teknis pelaksanaannya. Saat ini kami masih fokus menerima pendaftaran calon, sehingga besaran anggaran belum bisa dipastikan,” jelasnya.
Panitia juga menyampaikan apresiasi atas tingginya partisipasi masyarakat yang ikut mendaftarkan diri sebagai calon anggota BPD.
“Kami mengucapkan terima kasih kepada seluruh warga yang telah berpartisipasi dan mencalonkan diri sebagai anggota BPD Desa Kalangsurya,” tambahnya.
Dalam pelaksanaan pemungutan suara nanti, jumlah Daftar Pemilih Tetap (DPT) diperkirakan mencapai sekitar 7.800 pemilih.
Sementara itu, panitia mencatat calon pendaftar terbanyak berasal dari kawasan Perumahan Pesona Kalangsurya, yang menjadi indikator tingginya kepedulian masyarakat terhadap kemajuan dan tata kelola pemerintahan desa.
