KARAWANG, AlexaPodcast.ID – Menjelang peringatan Hari Buruh Internasional (May Day), Satuan Lalu Lintas (Sat Lantas) Polres Karawang memperketat pengawasan armada transportasi guna memastikan keselamatan para buruh yang akan melakukan mobilisasi.
Bersama Ditlantas Polda Jawa Barat, petugas gabungan menggelar kegiatan ramp check atau inspeksi keselamatan kendaraan di PO Pandawa Karawang, Kamis (30/4/2026).
Kegiatan yang dimulai sejak pukul 08.30 WIB ini dipimpin langsung oleh Kasat Lantas Polres Karawang, AKP Sudirianto, S.H., M.M., didampingi tim dari Ditlantas Polda Jabar yang diwakili Kasubdit Kamsel, Kompol Umar Setiawan, S.H.
“Tujuan utama kami adalah memastikan kendaraan yang digunakan rekan-rekan buruh benar-benar layak jalan dan pengemudinya dalam keadaan sehat. Keselamatan adalah prioritas nomor satu,” ujar Kapolres Karawang AKBP Fiki N. Ardiansyah melalui Kasi Humas, Ipda Cep Wildan.
Ramp check ini menjadi langkah preventif yang melibatkan lintas instansi, tidak hanya kepolisian tetapi juga unsur terkait lainnya, guna memastikan standar keselamatan kendaraan terpenuhi secara menyeluruh.
Kasat Lantas Polres Karawang, AKP Sudirianto, menjelaskan bahwa pemeriksaan dilakukan secara komprehensif untuk meminimalisir risiko kecelakaan selama pergerakan massa buruh.
Tiga aspek utama menjadi fokus dalam inspeksi, yakni administrasi kendaraan, kelaikan teknis, serta kesehatan pengemudi.
Pada aspek administrasi, petugas memeriksa kelengkapan surat-surat kendaraan dan izin operasional. Sementara dari sisi teknis, dilakukan pengecekan sistem pengereman, fungsi lampu, kondisi ban, hingga komponen keselamatan lainnya.
Selain itu, Tim Sidokkes Polres Karawang juga melakukan pemeriksaan kesehatan terhadap para sopir untuk memastikan mereka dalam kondisi prima saat bertugas.
Dalam pelaksanaannya, petugas masih menemukan sejumlah armada bus yang belum memenuhi standar kelayakan, baik dari sisi administrasi maupun teknis.
Terhadap temuan tersebut, petugas memberikan catatan tegas kepada pihak pengelola agar segera melakukan perbaikan dan melengkapi dokumen sebelum armada dioperasikan.
Meski demikian, kegiatan berjalan lancar, aman, dan tertib. Pihak perusahaan angkutan serta para pengemudi pun menyambut baik langkah tersebut dan berkomitmen untuk segera memenuhi seluruh persyaratan kelaikan jalan.
Upaya ini diharapkan mampu menciptakan situasi kamtibmas serta kamseltibcarlantas yang kondusif selama peringatan May Day 2026 di wilayah hukum Polres Karawang.
