BEKASI, AlexaPodcast.ID – Proses evakuasi korban longsor gunungan sampah di Tempat Pengolahan Sampah Terpadu Bantar Gebang, Kota Bekasi, Jawa Barat, masih terus berlangsung hingga Minggu malam (8/3/2026).
Di tengah aroma menyengat dan gunungan sampah yang seolah tak pernah habis, tim SAR gabungan akhirnya menemukan satu korban dalam kondisi meninggal dunia.
Korban diketahui bernama Irwan Supriadi, seorang pengemudi truk dari Suku Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Jakarta Utara. Jenazah Irwan ditemukan tertimbun material sampah di kedalaman hampir tiga meter dari permukaan.
Penemuan korban bermula ketika alat berat ekskavator yang dikerahkan untuk melakukan pengerukan menyentuh bagian kepala truk yang ringsek dan tertimbun di bawah tumpukan sampah. Dari titik itulah petugas kemudian menggali lebih dalam hingga akhirnya menemukan jasad korban.
Kapolres Metro Bekasi Kota, Kusumo Wahyu Bintoro, yang memantau langsung proses evakuasi di lokasi, menyampaikan bahwa operasi pencarian dilakukan dengan sangat hati-hati karena kondisi timbunan sampah yang labil dan berisiko longsor kembali.
Saat ini total korban dalam peristiwa tersebut tercatat empat orang. Tim gabungan masih terus melakukan pencarian untuk memastikan seluruh korban dapat ditemukan dan dievakuasi.
“Total korban saat ini berjumlah empat orang. Hingga malam ini, tim gabungan terus berupaya melakukan pencarian untuk memastikan seluruh korban dapat dievakuasi,” ujar Kusumo Wahyu Bintoro.
Jenazah Irwan kemudian dievakuasi dan dibawa ke RSUD Kota Bekasi untuk proses identifikasi dan penanganan lebih lanjut.
“Medannya cukup berat dan labil. Kami harus ekstra hati-hati karena keselamatan tim penyelamat juga menjadi prioritas,” tambahnya.
Sementara itu, area di sekitar titik longsor telah dipasangi garis polisi guna membatasi akses masyarakat.
Alat berat terus bekerja menyisir tumpukan sampah, yang ironisnya selama ini menjadi “gunung buatan” hasil produksi manusia sendiri.
Operasi pencarian pada malam hari tetap dilakukan dengan mempertimbangkan kondisi cuaca dan stabilitas tumpukan sampah.
Aparat tidak ingin proses penyelamatan justru menambah daftar korban baru di tengah gunungan yang diam-diam menyimpan banyak cerita.
Di balik tragedi ini, publik kembali diingatkan bahwa gunungan sampah yang selama ini dianggap “urusan belakang kota” ternyata bisa berubah menjadi ancaman nyata di depan mata.
