KARAWANG, AlexaPodcast.ID – Aparat Satpolairud dari Polres Karawang berhasil mengungkap kasus dugaan pencurian kapal nelayan di wilayah pesisir Karawang.
Penangkapan dilakukan di Dusun Karangsinar, Desa Ciparage Jaya, Kecamatan Tempuran, Kamis (12/2/2026) sore.
Kapolres Karawang AKBP Fiki N. Ardiansyah melalui Kasi Humas Ipda Cep Wildan menyampaikan bahwa terduga pelaku berinisial Karwita (46), warga Desa Tulang Kacang, Desa Anjasari, Kecamatan Patrol, Kabupaten Indramayu.
“Pelaku bernama Karwita (46) warga Desa Tulang Kacang Desa Anjasari, Kecamatan Patrol, Kabupaten Indramayu,” ujar Ipda Cep Wildan, Jumat (13/2/2026).
Ia menjelaskan, pengungkapan kasus ini berawal dari informasi yang diterima Ditpolairud Polda Jawa Barat terkait adanya laporan pencurian perahu nelayan di wilayah Cirebon yang sempat menjadi perhatian publik.
Menindaklanjuti informasi tersebut, Satpolairud Polres Karawang melakukan penyisiran di sejumlah muara serta berkoordinasi dengan masyarakat pesisir.
Upaya tersebut membuahkan hasil setelah diperoleh informasi mengenai keberadaan Perahu Lambung Putri Kayla di Muara Ciparage.
“Mendapat informasi dari nelayan, kami langsung menuju lokasi. Terduga pelaku dan barang bukti kami amankan di Mako Satpolairud Polres Karawang,” jelasnya.
Selanjutnya, terduga pelaku dibawa ke Polsek Tempuran untuk proses pemeriksaan awal, sementara barang bukti perahu diamankan di Dermaga Satpolairud.
Guna proses hukum lebih lanjut, pihak kepolisian berkoordinasi dengan Subdit Gakkum Polda Jabar, mengingat lokasi kejadian pencurian berada di wilayah Kabupaten Cirebon.
“Terduga pelaku pencurian kapal diserahkan ke Subdit Gakkum Ditpolairud Polda Jabar untuk dilakukan pemeriksaan lebih lanjut,” pungkasnya.
