KARAWANG, AlexaPodcast.ID – Dugaan penahanan ijazah oleh SMKS Industri Mandiri Karawang mencuat dan memicu perhatian publik.
Seorang lulusan mengaku tidak bisa mengambil ijazahnya karena belum melunasi sejumlah biaya yang diminta pihak sekolah.
Peristiwa ini terjadi di sekolah yang berlokasi di Desa Duren, Kecamatan Klari, Kabupaten Karawang.
Menurut keterangan yang beredar, penahanan dokumen penting tersebut dikhawatirkan dapat menghambat para lulusan dalam melanjutkan pendidikan atau melamar pekerjaan.
Namun, pihak sekolah membantah tuduhan tersebut. Melalui staf SMKS Industri Mandiri, mereka menegaskan bahwa tidak ada penahanan ijazah seperti yang dituduhkan.
Pihak sekolah menyebut bahwa proses pengambilan ijazah harus melalui prosedur yang sudah ditetapkan, termasuk verifikasi berupa sidik jari siswa.
“Bukan ditahan, tapi penyerahan ijazah harus melalui prosedur, termasuk sidik jari siswa. Jika belum dilakukan, ijazah memang belum bisa diberikan,” ujar salah satu staf sekolah.
Pihak SMKS Industri Mandiri juga memberikan klarifikasi lebih lanjut. Tuti Rojiah, perwakilan dari sekolah, menepis kabar adanya penahanan ijazah karena alasan tunggakan biaya.
Ia menegaskan bahwa sekolah bahkan telah memberikan ijazah secara gratis kepada siswa tersebut pada Sabtu (6/12/2025).
“Ijazah sudah di berikan. Kalau kemarin karena belum ketemu langsung sama kepala sekolah,” jelas Tuti Rojiah,
