KARAWANG, AlexaPodcast.ID – Warga Dusun Tamiang, Desa Sindangmulya, Kecamatan Kutawaluya, Kabupaten Karawang mengeluhkan dampak dari kegiatan normalisasi saluran irigasi menggunakan alat berat (beko) di wilayah mereka.
Pasalnya, tanah hasil pengerukan dibuang ke pinggir jalan sehingga menyebabkan jalan menjadi licin. Akibat kondisi tersebut, setidaknya enam pengendara motor dilaporkan mengalami kecelakaan.
“Saya masyarakat Dusun Tamiang mengeluhkan terkait normalisasi beko yang ada di wilayah saya. Sudah enam pengendara motor yang jadi korban kecelakaan,” ujar salah seorang warga kepada wartawan, Selasa (23/9/2025).
Warga menilai pihak operator beko kurang memperhatikan keselamatan pengguna jalan.
Tanah dan lumpur yang dibuang ke tepi jalan membuat permukaan jalan menjadi berbahaya saat dilintasi kendaraan bermotor.
“Besok mah harus diomong ke pihak bekonya, kalau buang sisa lumpur jangan sampai ke jalan raya. Jadi licin, dan sudah memakan korban,” tegasnya.
Sementara menurut keterangan keluarga korban, hingga kini pihak operator beko belum memberikan pertanggungjawaban ataupun bantuan kepada para korban kecelakaan.
Masyarakat berharap pemerintah desa maupun pihak terkait segera menindaklanjuti keluhan ini agar tidak terjadi kecelakaan serupa di kemudian hari. (Lan)
