KARAWANG, AlexaPodcast.ID – Hujan deras yang mengguyur wilayah Kabupaten Karawang pada Minggu (18/1/2026) malam mengakibatkan satu unit rumah milik warga roboh di Dusun Batujaya RT 006 RW 002, Desa Batujaya, Kecamatan Batujaya.
Meski tidak menimbulkan korban jiwa, kerugian materi akibat peristiwa tersebut diperkirakan mencapai puluhan juta rupiah.
Peristiwa itu terjadi sekitar pukul 04.00 WIB di Kampung Blok Mede RT 006 RW 002. Rumah yang roboh diketahui milik Rohanah (80), seorang lansia yang tinggal bersama anak, menantu, serta cucu-cucunya yang masih kecil.
Usman, menantu Rohanah, mengungkapkan bahwa kondisi rumah mertuanya memang sudah lama lapuk dan tidak layak huni.
Ia mengaku sebelumnya telah mengajukan permohonan bantuan bedah rumah, namun hingga bertahun-tahun tidak pernah terealisasi.
“Rumah roboh pas subuh kemarin, karena kondisi memang sudah lapuk dan rapuh. Padahal dulu sudah pernah diajukan ke dewan, tapi sampai sekarang belum juga terealisasi,” ujar Usman, Senin (19/1/2026).
Usman juga menyayangkan minimnya perhatian dari pihak desa maupun kecamatan sebelum kejadian tersebut. Menurutnya, tidak pernah ada pihak instansi terkait yang datang meninjau kondisi rumah, hingga akhirnya rumah tersebut benar-benar roboh.
“Orang desa dari dulu tidak ada yang datang sama sekali. Pas rumah roboh baru ada dari kecamatan, itu pun karena tahu dari media sosial. Sampai saya bilang, kemarin ke mana saja, pas roboh baru datang,” katanya.
Hal senada disampaikan Een, anak Rohanah sekaligus istri Usman. Ia membenarkan bahwa keluarganya telah berulang kali mengajukan bantuan, namun tidak pernah mendapat respons nyata.
“Orang desa tidak ada yang ke sini dari dulu. Sudah pernah ngajuin ke dewan, tapi baru pas roboh ada yang datang. Emang harus nunggu roboh dulu kali ya,” ujar Een.
Pasca kejadian, warga sekitar bersama keluarga segera membantu mengevakuasi Rohanah beserta barang-barang berharga ke tempat yang lebih aman.
Mengingat kondisi korban yang sudah lanjut usia, evakuasi dilakukan dengan penuh kehati-hatian.
Untuk mengantisipasi potensi bahaya, aliran listrik ke rumah tersebut juga dipadamkan sementara.
Hingga berita ini diterbitkan, belum ada keterangan resmi maupun tindak lanjut dari pihak instansi terkait, meski telah dihubungi melalui pesan WhatsApp. (Anggi)
