KARAWANG, AlexaPodcast.ID – Tim Taktis Sanggabuana Polres Karawang yang dipimpin Kasat Reskrim Polres Karawang, AKP M. Nazal Fawwaz, bersama Unit Resmob Polda Jabar berhasil menangkap pelaku penganiayaan berat yang mengakibatkan korban meninggal dunia.
Pelaku berinisial H (27) diringkus di Alfamart Rest Area KM 72A, Desa Cigelam, Kecamatan Babakancikao, Kabupaten Purwakarta.
Sementara korban berinisial DO (21) ditemukan meninggal dunia di aliran Sungai Citarum, Desa Curug, Kecamatan Klari, Kabupaten Karawang, pada Selasa pagi.
Kapolres Karawang, AKBP Fiki N. Ardiansyah melalui Kasi Humas, Ipda Cep Wildan menjelaskan, penangkapan dilakukan sehari setelah jasad korban ditemukan.
“Pelaku berhasil ditangkap di Alfamart Rest Area KM 72A Desa Cigelam Kecamatan Babakancikao Kabupaten Purwakarta,” ujar Ipda Cep Wildan, Rabu (8/10/2025).
Dari hasil pemeriksaan sementara, pelaku mengaku melakukan aksi penganiayaan hingga menyebabkan korban meninggal dunia karena terdesak kebutuhan ekonomi.
Pelaku mengajak korban ke rumahnya, lalu mencekik dan membekap korban hingga tewas.
Setelah itu, pelaku menyetubuhi korban dan mengambil barang-barang milik korban, termasuk perhiasan serta handphone.
Tim Taktis Sanggabuana yang dipimpin Ipda Heriansyah berhasil mengamankan sejumlah barang bukti dari tangan pelaku, di antaranya 1 unit motor, 1 unit mobil, dan 2 unit handphone.
Pelaku H dijerat dengan Pasal 351 KUHP tentang Penganiayaan Berat yang Mengakibatkan Korban Meninggal Dunia.
Lebih lanjut, Kasi Humas menyampaikan bahwa kasus ini akan dilimpahkan ke Polres Purwakarta, karena lokasi kejadian berada di wilayah hukum tersebut.
“Dikarenakan lokasi kejadian awal tindak pidananya berada di wilayah hukum Purwakarta, untuk tersangka beserta barang bukti akan kita limpahkan ke Polres Purwakarta,” pungkasnya. (Lan)
